The Shuswap is located on the traditional unceded territory of the Secwépemc Peoples.
Nestled in the southern half of British Columbia’s interior lies the beautiful, natural & extraordinary region known as the Shuswap. With its diverse ecosystem, vast ranges of mountains, pristine waters, and endless outdoor recreation, it is the perfect place to explore and adventure. From boating, paddling, swimming & beaching, to hiking, climbing & summiting, to exploring a boundless range of different terrains & landscapes, the Shuswap has an endless list of must-dos for all four seasons!
Lakes, rivers, trails, cliffs, mountains, beaches, waterfalls, rain forests, woodlands, alpine meadows, forest roads, landforms, provincial, national & regional parks, the awe-inspiring Shuswap and surrounding area has it all.
Shuswap Lake is a lake system consisting of 4 different arms. Shuswap Arm, Seymour Arm, Anstey Arm, Salmon Arm, and Mara Lake. The lake is fed by approximately 8 major rivers and creeks. The only outlet of Shuswap Lake is at the South Thompson River in Chase, B.C. Other lakes within the Shuswap region that feed into Shuswap Lake are Adams Lake, Mabel Lake, and Sugar Lake.
